Who is Peter F. Carls?
 

Peter F. Carls is a Senior Clinical Consultant and University Lecturer for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

After studying dentistry and medicine he trained at the Zurich University Hospital in Switzerland in Oral-Maxillofacial and Craniofacial Surgery – altogether 16 years of training after leaving school.

He went on to become a Consultant in Zurich, obtained a PhD and became a Senior Clinical Lecturer.

He had further training periods in the USA and Europe. In 1998 he came to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford as a full time Consultant and, since 2001, also as a Senior Clinical Lecturer for Oxford University.

After having been called back again to Zurich University, he reduced the NHS work and interupted completely working at the John Radcliffe from 2006 until 2013. And in 2013 he joined the Craniofacial team at the John Radcliffe again.

He divides his time between a private practice at 69 Banbury Road, Oxford, university work and lecturing in Zurich, and a private practice in Lugano (Southern Switzerland) and craniofacial surgery at the NHS. In addition he lectures at national and international congresses, courses etc.

The main work in Oxford is the surgery for dental implants. Mr. Carls collaborates with many dentists in and around Oxford and London..
